A Japan Air Self-Defense Force (JASDF) team lead by Lt. Gen. Shunji Izutsu visited the 319th Operations Group Det. 1, Yokota Air Base, Japan, to familiarize themselves with the air and ground operations of the RQ-4.

They were hosted by Lt. Gen. Kevin B. Schneider, U.S. Forces Japan and Fifth Air Force commander.
The visit allowed the Japanese team to observe the maintenance processes and watch simulated aircraft takeoff operations from within the Launch and Recovery Element.
