Boeing will be delivering a F-15EX simulator to Eglin Air Fore Base later this year as the 85th Test and Evaluation Squadron and the 40th Flight Test Squadron gear up to start development and operational testing next year.

Two F-15EX jets are to be delivered next year and the 40th FLTS will have the honor of taking the first aircraft. Second aircraft will be assigned to the 85th TES.
“This represents years of iterative design and battle proven technologies. The 40th FLTS, a squadron full of developmental testers, is ready to meet the challenge of testing America’s newest fighter,” says Maj. Brett Hughes, 40th FLTS lead F-15EX DT pilot.
