Argentine Air Force A-4AR pilot killed in crash

A Argentine Air Force A-4AR pilot was killed on Aug. 5 when his fighter crashed south of the city of Cordoba during a training flight.

Captain Gonzalo Fabian Britos Venturini ejected from his aircraft but did not survive.

The A-4AR is an upgrade of the A-4M carried out by Lockheed Martin in the 1990s. The jets were modernized with new Douglas Escapac 1-G3 ejection seats, AN/APG-66V2 radars and HOTAS controls with CRT color displays.
