Royal Thai Navy F27 nose wheel up emergency landing

A Royal Thai Navy F27 transport had to make a nose wheel up emergency landing at Narathiwat airport on Aug. 11.

The F27 Mk 200, #1202, has been in service for 36 years. It had taken off from Utapao airport with 12 passengers on board.

The crew had discovered that the nose wheel was not locked during pre-landing checks and had exhausted all options to lower the nose wheel before making the decision to land with the nose wheel retracted.
