Former Tomcat pilot clocks 1,000th trap aboard CVN 78

The commodore of Training Air Wing 1, Capt. Tracey Gendreau, clocks his 1,000th trap aboard USS Gerald R. Ford (CVN 78) on Feb. 5.

For Gendreau, this is the third first-in-class nuclear-powered aircraft carrier he had trapped on. The other two carriers were USS Enterprise and USS Nimitz.

Gendreau has accumulated more than 4,000 flight hours and flew the F-14 with VF-41.
