CQ Brown is not ready to buy Wedgetails yet

U.S. Air Force Chief of Staff Gen. CQ Brown has said that he needs to consider all options before deciding on how to replace the aging E-3 AWACS.

“It would be premature for me to commit to the Wedgetail right now, or a timeline. This is something I have to spend a little more time on looking at. But I realize there are some Wedgetail fans out there,” Brown was quoted as saying.

One day earlier, head of Pacific Air Force Gen. Kenneth Wilsbach said he prefers to have the E-7A replace the E-3.
