Commercial satellite imagery shows that China has carried out a massive upgrade to the runway and taxiways at Wuhu airbase in Anhui. The base is home to the operational J-20 unit.
The construction work is likely to have started in the second half of 2020 based on imagery available.
The runway and taxiway been lengthened and new taxiways were added as well. The new runway length is now 10,000 ft, new extension were added on both sides of the runway 08/26. Two new aprons on the west side of the runway were added too.
