Riga air museum faces closure

A private aviation museum in Latvia’s Riga airport is facing closure due to an expansion of the airport.

The museum has dozens of Soviet military and civilian aircraft. The airport needs the land to build a new hangar and control tower.

The owner, Viktors Talpas, was offered a new location within the airport but he rejected the offer as the new site is inaccessible to the public.
