P-8A now has a RF jammer house inside the shell of a Harpoon missile

The U.S. Navy has completed an airworthiness test of a pod-mounted radio frequency countermeasure (RFCM) prototype on the P-8A on Mar. 12.

Maritime Patrol and Reconnaissance Aircraft Program Office (PMA-290) took around one year to put the RFCM together.

The pod uses a AN/ALE-55 Fiber Optic Towed Decoy and the shell of the pod is based on the Harpoon missile.
