The Lake Ogawara Fisheries Cooperative in Japan is planning to submit a protest letter to the Ministry of Defense over two U.S. Air Force CV-22 training flights at the lake on Jun. 30 and Jul. 1.
The cooperative said the flights endangered local fishermen who were fishing for eels at that time. The Ospreys flew low over the lake and personnel from the aircraft were hoisted up and down into the lake.
