A-10C that made belly landing last year is back flying again, with the same pilot at the controls

A-10C #81-095 is back flying again after restoration by the 75th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron. The attack jet was forced to make a belling landing on Apr. 7 at Moody Air Force Base last year after a failure of its 30mm cannon disabled the jet’s landing gear, and blew off the canopy.

Story of how Reach 806 landed in Kabul without normal runway lighting

The crew of a C-17 from the 3rd Airlift Squadron was on its fourth mission to ferry passengers out from Hamid Karzai International Airport in Kabul, Afghanistan when they found out that the normal airfield lighting was out.
