A-10C that made belly landing last year is back flying again, with the same pilot at the controls

A-10C #81-095 is back flying again after restoration by the 75th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron. The attack jet was forced to make a belling landing on Apr. 7 at Moody Air Force Base last year after a failure of its 30mm cannon disabled the jet’s landing gear, and blew off the canopy.

After a year of restoration, the same pilot who made the emergency landing, Capt. Taylor Bye , took the jet back into the air again on Nov. 3.
