U.S. Navy to mark the centennial of its first aircraft carrier

The U.S. Navy will mark the centennial of its first aircraft carrier, USS Langley (CV 1) this year.

CV 1 entered service on Mar. 20, 1922. The ship fought against the Japanese during the World War Two and was sunk off Java on Feb. 27, 1942.
