Taiwan’s future beyond-visual-range air-to-air missile resembles Meteor

A quarterly magazine published by Taiwan’s NCSIST research institute shows a new beyond-visual-range air-to-air missile that resembles the European Meteor missile.

According to Up Media, NCSIST proposed the weapon concept to the military in 2019. The new missile will be dubbed Tien-chien 3 and has capabilities similar to the AIM-9X Block II.

However, it is noted that the nose cone of the missile is pointy, similar in shape to radio guidance radome.
