The U.S. Navy’s HSM-77 recently carried out a joint torpedo training exercise with Japan’s VX-51 and JS Yusotei 2-go landing craft. This is the first time such an exercise been carried out by both sides.
TOKYO BAY (March 10, 2022) An MH-60R Seahawk, attached to the “Saberhawks” of Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron (HSM) 77, drops a practice torpedo during the first torpedo exercise conducted by a U.S. Navy squadron alongside the JMSDF.
