HAL orders 88 engines for the HTT-40

Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd has placed an order with Honeywell for 88 TPE331-12B turboprop engines to be installed on the HTT-40 basic trainer.

Company chairman R Madhavan disclosed that talks with the Indian Air Force are in advanced stages and there could be an order for 70 aircraft.
