Pentagon orders CSG 5 to remain in the vicinity of Taiwan; ICBM test postponed; conduct Taiwan Strait transits in the next few weeks

The Pentagon has ordered Carrier Strike Group 5 to remain in the vicinity off the east coast of Taiwan to monitor the developing situation.

The primary role of EA-18G Growlers is to disrupt the ability to communicate between units in combat through the use of electronic warfare.
