It was a Turkmenistan M346 that crashed into Mount Legnoneon

A pre-inquest review at Bournemouth Coroner’s Court has revealed that an M346 that crashed on Mar. 16 had belonged to the Turkmenistan Air Force.

The jet was returned to Italy for unspecific modifications and the aircraft lost control while executing a loop for the second time.

A British civilian pilot, David Ashley, was killed in the crash. His widow is suing Leonardo for more than $1 million.

Dorset coroner Rachael Griffin told Mrs Ashley that the full investigation into her husband’s death will take some time.
