Air and missile defense operators and subject matter experts from eight Asia-Pacific nations, including the Royal Australian Air Force and the Japan Air Self-Defense Force, gathered for an opportunity to collaborate openly, exchange perspectives and concerns, and share regional air surveillance and missile defense visions. This event also served as an opportunity for these nations to strengthen connections and partnerships with one another.

Subject matter experts from the combatant commander and multiple components also provided exchanges on IAMD Vision 2028, maritime IAMD capabilities, the homeland defense of Guam and Hawaii, and the importance of integration and interoperability.

The tabletop wargaming event was the culminating activity of the gathering and gave the eight participating nations the chance to design a defense against various types of ballistic and cruise missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). The proprietary IAMD software simulated enemy attacks and provided valuable insights on the benefits of a common defense strategy. The playback of the enemy attacks and the impact of the defense design was shared with each defense operator to take back to their respective nations.

The participants also had the opportunity to visit the Sea-Base X-Band Radar (SBX-1) and the 613th Air and Space Operations Center during the event.
