An Iranian lawmaker told Tasni News that Russia will begin delivery of the Su-35 fighters in early Solar Hijri calendar year 1402, which starts from Mar. 21.

According to the news report, Iran is expected to receive 24 of the fourth-generation twin-engine, super-maneuverable fighter jets and housed some of them at Tactical Air Base (TAB) 8 of the Islamic Republic of Iran Air Force (IRIAF), located in the Iranian city of Isfahan. The base is also home to Iran’s F-14 fighters.
Besides the fighters, Iran has also ordered other military equipment from Russia, including air defense systems, missile systems, and helicopters.
