173rd FW to host nose art contest for Month of the Military Child

Hey there young military dependents of Oregon, are you ready to showcase your artistic skills and celebrate April as the Month of the Military Child? The 173rd Fighter Wing Military and Family Readiness Center is organizing a super fun ‘Nose Art’ contest just for you!

Senior Master Sgt. Jennifer Shirar

All you have to do is pick a theme and design an image that you would want to see on the nose of a Kingsley Field F-15 Eagle using the provided template. Your theme can be anything that comes to mind when you think about being a military child, like freedom, patriotism, or even something unique to you.

Just remember to keep it distinctive, symbolic, and designed in good taste, while also enhancing unit pride. And make sure not to use any copyrighted material in your artwork.

Once you’ve completed your masterpiece, submit it via email to 173resiliencyteam@gmail.com before April 30. A committee will select the winning design, and it will be displayed on the nose of one of the Kingsley F-15 Eagles. How cool is that?

Oh, and there’s more! You can also participate in a coloring contest featuring an F-15 flying over Crater Lake. Your artwork will be displayed in the headquarters building to applaud the young artists.

The Month of the Military Child is a time to recognize military families and their children for the sacrifices they make and the challenges they overcome. So, let’s show off our creativity and have some fun!
