Pratt & Whitney’s B-21 engine work will bring benefits to F-35

Program manager for the F-35, Lt. Gen. Christopher Bogdan, told reporters that Pratt & Whitney’s work to power the B-21 stealth bomber will bring benefits to the F-35 by reducing the cost of the F135 engine.

“I would expect that Pratt prices for the F135 on the F-35 ought to come down as a result of the work they are going to be doing on the long-range strike,” he said.
