Japan and South Korea to share radar system via U.S. network for missile tracking
Japan and South Korea are reportedly planning to link their radar systems through a US network to share real-time information on North Korea’s ballistic missiles. The Yomiuri Shimbun newspaper was the first to report on the agreement, which would allow Japan to improve its detection capabilities as North Korea continues to fire off missiles at an unprecedented pace.

UAE government ends contract for 12 Airbus H225Ms
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has canceled its $879 million deal with Airbus for 12 H225M Caracal multirole helicopters. The cancellation was confirmed by Muammar Abdulla Abushehab, defense and security industry affairs sector chief for the Tawazun council, in an exclusive interview with Breaking Defense.

JMSDF has started its MQ-9B trials
Media outlets in Japan have reported that the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF) has started trials of a single General Atomics MQ-9B unmanned air vehicle at Hachinohe Air Base.
301st Fighter Wing deploys the F-16 for overseas mission for the last time
The F-16’s era as the backbone of the 301st Fighter Wing’s operations has come to an end with the deployment of Reserve Citizen Airmen and personnel from the 24th Fighter Squadron to U.S. Central Command’s area of operations in early April.
