U.S. will strike ISIL in Palmyra if Russia, Syria fail to retake city
A U.S. general has warned that unless Russia and Syria take back Palmyra from ISIL, the United States will be forced to carry out air strikes on the extremist group there.

F-22s will be flying out of northern Australia
During an event at Lowy Institute, Adm. Harry Harris, commander of the US Pacific Command, revealed that starting from next year, the U.S. Air Force will be deploying its F-22 fighter to northern Australia.

Christmas gift for China, four Su-35s
TASS reported that Russia will deliver four Sukhoi Su-35 fighter jets to China before Christmas. The jets were supposed to reach home only next year but the process was expedited.
