South Korea officially selects Lockheed Martin to upgrade its F-16s, switching to AN/APG-83

South Korea’s Defense Acquisition Program Administration spokesperson Kim Si-cheol said Defense Minister Han Min-koo has approved the F-16 upgrade program to be carried out by the Lockheed Martin.

Obama administration could clear the sale of weapons to Taiwan as soon as this week

Reuters reported that the Obama administration is expected to clear new weapons sale to Taiwan by the end of the year and a Republican congressional aide said the announcement could be as early as this week.

China Foreign Ministry says Australia’s military flight was “deliberately complicating the situation in the South China Sea”

During a press conference on Dec. 15, China’s Foreign Ministry Spokesman Hong Lei said Australia’s recent military flight in the South China Sea was “deliberately complicating the situation” there.
