Pacific Command chief says LRASM should be deployed as quickly as possible

Commander of the United States Pacific Command, Adm. Harry Harris, told the Senate Armed Services Committee that the new Long Range Anti-Ship Missile (LRASM) should be deployed as quickly as possible.

E-2D to test aerial refueling this year

The U.S. Navy will test the aerial refueling capability of the E-2D later this year. The first E-2D built, AA1, is now undergoing modifications at Northrop Grumman’s St Augustine facility.

China deploys J-11, JH-7 to Woody Island again

U.S. officials say China has deployed J-11 and JH-7 fighter bombers to Woody Island in the Paracel archipelago this week. This is not the first time those type of fighters have been deployed there.

Commander, U.S. 7th Fleet says military flights to continue despite deployment of HQ-9

World’s greatest test pilot and world record holder for most carrier landings has passed away

It was a huge loss to the aviation community on Feb. 21 as Capt Eric “Winkle” Brown passed away at the age of 97 after a short illness.
