Taiwan keen to buy shoulder-launched version of FIM-92 Stinger

The Republic of China Navy has an urgent requirement to give its missile boats a short-range air defense capability and plans to request permission to acquire the shoulder-launched version of FIM-92 Stinger.

Airbus Helicopters decided not to participate in JMSDF ship-based utility helicopter contest

Airbus Helicopters in Japan issued a statement today stating that the company has decided to withdraw from the tender to supply a ship-based utility helicopter for the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF).

Egypt allowed to retain Russian equipment installed on Mistral carriers if Cairo buys the ships

A French official said that if Egypt was to take off the two Mistral carriers previously ordered by Russia, Moscow is willing to allow Cairo to keep the equipment it had installed on those ships.
