A military payload launched by Soyuz rocket may have failed to deploy
Russia attempted to launch two military satellites into orbit on Dec. 5 from the Plesetsk Cosmodrome in northern Russia. One of the payloads onboard the Soyuz 2-1v rocket seems to have failed to deploy from the upper stage.

Perry: U.S. government should skip replacement of Minuteman ICBM
Former U.S. Defense Secretary William Perry said that United States was on “the brink of a new nuclear arms race” and the government should not invest in developing an alternative to the Minuteman intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM).

The Pentagon’s chief arms buyer said he is “very worried” Raytheon’s development of the Global Positioning System Next Generation Operational Control System (GPS OCX) and he wants to take another “deep dive” review of the program.

After two failures, Russia has successfully flight test a new anti-satellite missile dubbed Nudol on Nov. 18, the Washington Free Beacon reported.
