It’s time to talk about South Korea’s latest military development: a new advanced guided missile system designed to strike North Korean long-range artillery pieces. The country’s state arms procurement agency has announced that it plans to adopt a basic plan for the development of this new missile as early as next month.

Estonia and Latvia to jointly acquire medium-range air defense systems
Estonia and Latvia are taking a step forward in their defense capabilities by jointly procuring medium-range air defense systems. This move highlights the importance these neighboring countries place on ensuring their security and the effectiveness of their air defense. The procurement process will be based purely on the price and capabilities of the systems, which will be determined by the most economically advantageous and technically capable system in the market.

Nimitz CSG and Makin Island ARG embark on joint operation in South China Sea
The South China Sea is currently witnessing an exciting display of naval power as the Nimitz Carrier Strike Group (NIMCSG) and the Makin Island Amphibious Ready Group (MKI ARG) embark on a combined expeditionary strike force (ESF) operation. The NIMCSG is made up of some of the most formidable units in the U.S. Navy, including the USS Nimitz aircraft carrier, four Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyers, and the squadrons of Carrier Air Wing 17. Meanwhile, the MKI ARG comprises units from Amphibious Squadron (PHIBRON) 7 and the 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), adding a powerful amphibious capability to the operation.
