Cyprus state broadcaster CyBC and German news magazine Der Spiegel have reported that Germany has approved the sale of the H145M light attack helicopter to Cyprus.
The helicopters, manufactured by Airbus, will be delivered by the end of spring or late summer, with the second batch arriving next year.
It was reported earlier that Cyprus intends to replace its Mi-35 attack helicopters from Russia with the H145M. Cyprus also had the intention of transferring the Mi-35s to Serbia.
