Alaska Airlines Flight 80 was flying from Anchorage to Seattle on Aug. 1 when the airliner chance upon the U.S. Navy Blue Angels carrying out a mid-air refueling near Yakutat.

Incoming CO of USASMDC/ARSTRAT passed away suddenly

Maj. Gen. John Rossi was suppose to take command of the U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command/Army Forces Strategic Command at Redstone Arsenal. However, he passed away on Jul. 31 on the installation.

S-300, S-400 repelled simulated air strikes by MiG-29SMTs

A recent exercise in Russia’s Western Military District saw S-300 and S-400 air defense systems stationed in Leningrad and Moscow regions repelled simulated air strikes carried out by 12 MiG-29SMT fighters.

F-35’s laser designator can only be activated in the U.S. due to strict rules

Minutes of a meeting by the U.K. Defence Ranges Safety Committee revealed that British F-35s are not allowed to use the on board laser designator outside the United States.
