U.S. Army wants navigation software that allows drones to scout for ground vehicles

The U.S. Army is solicitation the industry’s help to develop an Autonomous UAS Navigation system that will allow unmanned aerial vehicles to scout ahead of ground vehicles.

MiG-31BMs flew non-stop for 7 hours during 8,000 km journey

MiG-31BMs stationed in eastern Siberia’s Krasnoyarsk region have flown non-stop to southern Russia’s Astrakhan region in a seven hour four minutes flight.

OH-58D farewell ceremony scheduled on Apr. 15

Boeing given contract worth $922 million for 117 AH-64Es

Boeing has been given a $922 million contract for the remanufacture of 117 AH-64E attack helicopters, the DoD said in contracts notification release CR-065-16 on Apr. 7.

Portugal still interested in getting KC-390

After a visit to Embraer’s plant, Portugal’s defense minister, Azeredo Lopes, said his country is still interested in getting the KC-390 and that a decision is expected soon.
