USAF wants its IRST pod to have data sharing capability between 4th & 5th gen. fighters

H/T to Milaerospace. In a sources-sought notice published on Mar. 8, the U.S. Air Force’s Life Cycle Management Center announced that the infrared search and track (IRST) pod for the F-15C must have a “5th to 4th Gen Gateway” capability.

Canceling the B-21 contract will cost the American taxpayer $300 million

During a Senate hearing, a top U.S. Air Force officer revealed that the American taxpayer will stand to lose $300 million if the Pentagon is to cancel the cost-plus contract with Northrop Grumman to build the B-21 bomber.

Airbus Defence and Space will operate German military satellite system for the next 7 years

Airbus Defence and Space has been awarded a €145 million contract by the procurement agency of German Armed Forces (BAAINBw) for the long term operation of the SATCOMBw secure satellite communications system. The contract is for the next seven-and-a-half years.
