The Pentagon has ordered Carrier Strike Group 5 to remain in the vicinity off the east coast of Taiwan to monitor the developing situation.

Air Combat Command has recommended that four Angry Kitten pods developed by the Georgia Tech Research Institute be converted into the Angry Kitten Combat Pod electronic attack system.
NAVAIR announced on Aug. 3 that it has delivered the first of three Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) CN-235 that are converted into maritime patrol aircraft.
