The U.S. Air Force’s Rapid Dragon program has carried out its first live fire test on Dec. 16 and the Air Force Research Laboratory has revealed how the project got its name.
Once the Palletized Munition Deployment System was stabilized under the parachutes, the production long range cruise missile STV and mass simulants were released sequentially, timed for safe separation between munitions. A new video published by the Singapore Minstry of Defense has confirmed that the Saab RBS 70 New Generation (RBS 70 NG) man-portable air-defense system (MANPADS) has been delivered to the island.
The United States has transferred a C-130H to Romania under the C-130 Ramp-to-Ramp (R2R) transfer program. The aircraft arrived at Aurel Vlaicu International Airport on Dec. 14.
