F-35’s engine to be inspected after 13 hours, instead of 3

The F-35 program office has eased the inspection requirements for the F135 engine. From now on, maintainers need to carry out an inspection after 13 hours of flying.

The Pentagon had implemented a three-hour engine inspection requirement after an engine fire in June.
