A new Barrier Arrest Kit was recently commissioned into service at 8 Wing Trenton, Canada.
The new BAK-14 will supplement the existing BAK-12. Using the new system, there is no need to drag the cable across the runway for deployment as it is now encased in concrete underground.
It can also adjust the cable tension based on input from the user.
