A RoCAF IDF F-CK-1B twin-seat fighter had its canopy accidentally ejected while the aircraft was being prepared for take-off on Nov. 2.

At accident happened at 443 Squadron, a Major was going on a check ride with a junior and he noticed that the safety pin on the canopy jettison handle in the back seat was still inserted. Instead of getting the ground crew to remove it, he proceed to remove the pin and jettisoned the canopy in the process.
The aircraft was parked in its hardened shelter at that time and luckily the seats did not eject as well.
