USAF F-15Cs were not in the vicinity when Russian Su-24 was shot down

Col. Steve Warren, spokesman for Operation Inherent Resolve, told reporters during a teleconference at the Pentagon that none of the six F-15Cs from RAF Lakenheath were near the area whereby a Russian Su-24 fighter bomber was shot down by Turkish F-16s on Nov. 24.

“So there were no F-15s in the area, no American personnel in the area, no American equipment in the area.”

“This was purely an action that took place between the Russians and the Turks.”
