The first scramble for a NATO Air Policing mission over Montenegro has occurred on Apr. 9, NATO said in a press release.

Italian Eurofighters from Gioia del Colle Air Base were activated to intercept a TUI Fly Boeing 737 that was not in touch with civilian air traffic control as it flew over Croatia into Montenegro.
Communications were reestablished after the airliner was intercepted.
