The U.S. Space Force has delayed the NROL-44 mission from June to Aug. 26. The reason for the postponement was not given.

The spy satellite for this mission will be sent into geosynchronous orbit from Cape Canaveral using a Delta IV Heavy rocket. This will be the 12th flight of the Delta IV Heavy. Another Delta IV Heavy launch is also scheduled this year to be launch from Vandenberg Air Force Base in October.
