India on Aug. 9 announced a list of 101 defense items that cannot be imported into the country over the next five years.

The items include light combat aircraft, cargo planes and long-range land attack cruise missiles. Each item has a different date in order for India’s own defense industry to catch up with local production. The list will also be reviewed each year.
