Lockheed Martin has carried out flight testing of the Sniper pod on the Super Hornet. This is to fulfill a requirement by Kuwaiti Air Force to have the pod working on the Super Hornets it had ordered.
The pod is integrated to Weapon Station 5 and flew twice in March. Once from NAS Patuxent River with a nonoperational pod and another flight from NAS China Lake with an operational pod.
