First F-22 pilot to clock 2,000 hours in the jet

Lt. Col. Ryan Pelkola, 302d Fighter Squadron director of operations, is the first F-22 pilot to clock more than 2,000 hours in the aircraft.

For F-22 pilots, the average sortie lasts one hour and 15 minutes, it took him 14 years and 1,323 sorties to accomplish the feat.
