Mike Manazir, Boeing’s vice president for defense business development, told reporters in a news conference ahead of the Dubai airshow that the company expects the U.S. Air Force to place an order for the E-7A early warning aircraft next year.
“I believe they’ll be announcing sometime in 2022 that they’re going to move forward on the E-7,” Manazir was quoted as saying.

Navy’s Navair would be smart to buy the E-7 as they operate the P-8. Plus USAF would buy a slightly stretched version of the P-8 to replace the C-32 (757) for Presidential airlift. That would be 4 units unless they want to add additional units to replace older Gulfstream aircraft
