South Korea to buy new helicopters to replace its CH-47D fleet

South Korea’s Defense Project Promotion Committee has approved a plan to replace the country’s CH-47D helicopters with new ones.

The project will cost $1.2 billion and will run from 2022 to 2028.

  1. South Korea will trade older CH-47Ds to Boeing and buy either CH-47Fs or MH-47Gs or a combination of both.
