South Korea plans to relocate Daegu air base

A master plan to relocate the Daegu air base to other locations in Uiseong and Gunwi has been unveiled by the South Korean military.

The project is expected to costs $8.6 billion and the relocation will be completed by 2030. U.S. military forces stationed near Daegu are affected by the move as well.

Seoul wants to move to base in order to address noise complaints issues from local residents.
