The U.S. Air Force has assigned the designation AN/ALQ-260(V)1 to Leonardo’s BriteCloud 218 as the U.S. Air National Guard (ANG) recommended fielding the airborne electronic warfare countermeasure decoy for the F-16.
The ANG has been testing the BriteCloud since 2019 and came to the conclusion that the decoy meets and even exceeds operational requirements in certain situations.
