France committed on Aster 30 Block 1 upgrade

MBDA has been given the green light by France to proceed with the Aster Block 1 New Technology program. The contract was signed by Direction Générale de l’Armement with Eurosam consortium on Dec. 23 2015.

North Korea faked the video of SLBM launch, missile exploded a few seconds into the test

The folks over at the James Martin Center for Nonproliferation Studies at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies analyzed the recent Submarine Launched Ballistic Missile (SLBM) tested shown on North Korean television last week and they concluded that the test was a failure and Pyongyang had manipulated the video in an attempt to show the launch of the KN-11 was a success.

USN provided logistic support to French carrier Charles de Gaulle during port visit in Bahrain

French aircraft carrier FS Charles De Gaulle and three of its escorts were in Bahrain for a port visit earlier this month and the French task force received transportation and logistical support from U.S. Navy Supply Systems Command Fleet Logistics Center (NAVSUP FLC) Bahrain.
