Nigeria’s PM News says the U.S. government is prepared to sell as many as 12 A-29 Super Tucano light attack aircraft to Nigeria.

A U.S. official was quoted as saying that the aircraft will come in a “very basic armed configuration.”
The U.S. Congress is yet to be notified on the FMS contract.
